Almost a month ago we lost our beautiful cat “Detective Elliot”. Mittens took the biggest hit. “Elliot” was such a blessing to her health and to us all.
Any of you who have owned and loved pets, know that their love is unconditional. Most of the time we don’t even deserve that type of love. And some have never experienced better love from a human.
It’s partially why we haven’t been going to clubs or sharing more. But these are the cards we are dealt in life.
A few days ago, on our drive to meet up with our girl Momo for coffee. I was trying to shed some light into the subject of death. I’ve personally have experienced plenty of that in my heart.
As we approach a red light of a big intersection, I shift my eyes to the walkway and realized that an older lady, hands holding groceries had fallen while crossing the street.
Before I could process how I could help, she quickly jumped back up, grabbed all her bags and kept walking. As she approached closer towards our end of the divider, while keeping a steady pace she yells loud; “YOU FALL DOWN! YOU GET UP! YOU KEEP GOING!” She nods and keeps walking.
Mittens and I turned to look at each other I must admit, I got teared eyed a bit.
That’s the lesson of the day!
